As I wait here by this tree
Hills and windmills watch over me
As seasons change these leaves will fall
But my spirit lives inside you all.
Time goes on, you'll all get older
You'll feel my hand upon your shoulder
And when you do, please raise a smile
We're on this earth so short a while.
So dry your tears and share your sorrow
Remember me now, but live for tomorrow
A life well lived, memories in your mind
As I wait by this tree you won't leave me behind.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
